Please drop by and make a bowl sometime on Wednesday, April 6 between 10am and 3pm. Then, the following week on Wednesday, April 13 (10am-3pm), join UFV Student Life in Chilliwack for a Hawaiian-style party with mocktails while you decorate your bowl.

Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger, created by The Imagine Render Group. Further information on this global initiative can be found at: http://www.emptybowls.net. The basic premise is simple: students, staff, faculty, and administration work together to create handcrafted bowls. Following the creation and design of the bowls, guests are invited to a simple meal of soup and bread on Thursday, April 21 at the UFV Abbotsford (further details to follow). In exchange for a cash donation, guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. The money raised is donated to the Abbotsford Food Bank, an organization working to end hunger and food insecurity.
